Litmus Test 2010: A Guide to Ideological Purity
Before you cast your vote for any Tea Party candidate, ask him/her the following ten questions to determine the purity of his/her devotion to Ayn Rand's vision of a capitalist utopia:
1. Will you introduce legislation to terminate ALL federal taxpayer funding for public schools?
2. Will you introduce legislation to end ALL federal taxpayer funding for the National Endowment for the Arts?
3. Will you introduce legislation to terminate socialist programs such as Medicare and Medicaid?
4. Will you introduce legislation to abolish the Social Security Administration?
5. Will you support legislation that will end ALL spending (including defense) in excess of the annual revenue collected by the government?
6. Will you vote to abolish ALL socialist education programs such as the federally-subsidized Stafford loans for college education?
7. Will you vote against ANY bill aimed at using federal taxpayer money for the so-called "bailout" of ANY bank or corporate entity, whether large or small, public or private?
8. Will you support rescinding ALL federal environmental regulations which currently prevent the dumping of industrial waste in bodies of water used by local communities for irrigation or fishing?
9. Do you believe that the Controlled Substances Act constitutes an encroachment on the police powers of the states, and will you support repeal of the Act so as to allow the states to decide what substances should be banned and what should be legal within their own borders?
10. Will you vote against ANY protectionist legislation aimed at forcing American businesses to keep jobs in America rather than having the freedom to take their jobs abroad to countries which will allow them to set their own wages?
...any candidate who answers ANY of these questions with anything other than an unqualified "YES" is NOT a true capitalist, and should be forced to admit that they harbor Marxist intentions for America.
